Privacy Policy

How we handle your information

Last Updated: 7-27-2026

Introduction

Smart Tech Networx, LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information in connection with our website at smarttechnetworx.com and related pages (the “Website”), and your choices regarding that information. By accessing or using the Website, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy addresses information we handle as a business in connection with the Website and our sales and marketing activities. Where we process personal information on behalf of a client in the course of delivering managed services under a signed services agreement (a “Services Agreement”) — including data processed through client platforms such as JumpCloud, PreVeil, NinjaOne, or the Beambox managed guest Wi-Fi platform — we act as that client’s service provider/processor, and our handling of that data is governed by the Services Agreement and any applicable data processing addendum rather than by this Privacy Policy. See “Client and Guest Wi-Fi Data” below.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Personal Information you provide: such as your name, business name, email address, phone number, postal address, and the contents of inquiries, quote requests, or other communications you submit to us.

  • Usage and Device Information: information about your interactions with the Website, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring URLs, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.

  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: we and our website platform and analytics providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Website, remember preferences, and understand usage. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

We do not collect or store payment card information through the Website. Payments for our services are processed by our third-party accounting and payment provider, Wave (Wave Financial Inc.), under Wave’s own terms and privacy policy; any card or bank details you provide for payment are handled by Wave and its payment processor, not by us. We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers or other government identifiers through the Website.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Website;

  • Respond to your inquiries, provide quotes, and communicate with you about our services;

  • Send administrative and, where permitted, marketing communications (from which you may opt out);

  • Analyze and improve the Website and our offerings; and

  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only as described below. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing.

  • Service providers and partners: with vendors who perform services for us or help us deliver our offerings — for example, our website hosting/platform provider, analytics providers, our payment and accounting provider (Wave), and the technology vendors that underpin our managed services — who are permitted to use the information only to perform services for us.

  • Legal and safety: when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Smart Tech Networx, our users, or others.

  • Business transfers: in connection with, or during negotiation of, a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business or assets.

  • With your consent: in other cases with your direction or consent.

Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Website and to understand how it is used. We use a cookie consent tool (CookieYes) that lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies and change your choices at any time; your consent preferences are stored in a necessary cookie so that we can honor them. For aggregate website analytics we use Jetpack Stats, provided by Automattic (the operator of WordPress.com), which helps us understand overall traffic and usage; we do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or advertising or social-media tracking pixels. Most browsers also allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings; disabling some cookies may affect Website functionality.

Your Choices and Rights

You have the following choices and, depending on your jurisdiction, rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access, correct, update, or request deletion of the personal information we hold about you;

  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us; and

  • Manage or disable cookies through your browser settings.

California residents. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (the “CCPA”). Based on our size and operations, we are not currently a “business” subject to the CCPA’s obligations; nonetheless, as a matter of practice we will honor verifiable requests from California residents to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about them as a controller, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these choices.

Individuals whose data we process for a client. Where we process personal information on behalf of a client — for example, a client’s employees in systems such as JumpCloud, or a client’s guests via the Beambox Wi-Fi platform — we act as that client’s service provider/processor under the client’s instructions and a data processing agreement, and the client is the controller. This applies whether the individual is located in the United States or elsewhere (including the United Kingdom or the EU). If you are an employee, guest, or contact of one of our clients and wish to exercise privacy rights, please contact that client (your employer or the business you interacted with) directly; we will assist them as required under our agreement.

How to submit a request. To submit a privacy request or a question about your personal information, email privacy@smarttechnetworx.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request; you may use an authorized agent where the law permits.

Changes in scope. If our operations change — for example, if we begin offering services to, marketing to, or monitoring individuals in the EU or UK for our own purposes, or if we meet the thresholds that make us subject to the CCPA or another state privacy law — we will update this Privacy Policy and our practices to provide the additional rights, disclosures, and mechanisms those laws require.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide our services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, after which we delete or de-identify it.

If you ask us to delete personal information we hold about you as a controller, we will dispose of it within 30 days of a verified request (or sooner if required by applicable law), except where we are required or permitted by law to retain it — for example, to maintain proof of contract, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Secure disposal of data and media follows recognized standards, including the NIST Guidelines for Media Sanitization (NIST SP 800-88). Personal information we process on behalf of a client (as a processor) is retained and deleted in accordance with that client's Services Agreement and Data Processing Addendum rather than this Privacy Policy.

These practices are governed by our internal Data Retention and Disposal Policy, which we review at least annually.

Client and Guest Wi-Fi Data

When we deliver managed services to a client, we may process personal information on that client’s behalf. In particular, our managed guest Wi-Fi offering (provided via the Beambox platform) enables clients to collect information from their own guests (such as name, email, birthday, and phone number) and to send marketing communications. In those cases, the client — not Smart Tech Networx — determines the purposes and means of processing and is responsible for providing privacy notices and obtaining any required consents from its guests. Our processing of such data is governed by the client’s Services Agreement and any applicable data processing addendum. If you are a guest of one of our clients and have questions about how your data is used, please contact that business directly.

Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, as described further in our Security Statement. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

The Website is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Third-Party Links

The Website may link to third-party websites or services that we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the “Last Updated” date above. Material changes may be communicated by additional means where appropriate.
